Son of Zadok and father of Eliud, listed in the genealogy of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew. Achim lived during the centuries between the Old and New Testaments, part of the faithful remnant that preserved the Davidic lineage through foreign occupation and political upheaval. Though unmentioned elsewhere in Scripture, his place in the genealogy affirms God’s providential preservation of the messianic line.
