Solomon

The wisest man who ever lived, son of David and Bathsheba, who built the magnificent temple in Jerusalem. When God offered him anything, Solomon asked for wisdom to govern, and God granted it abundantly along with wealth and honor. Kings and queens traveled from distant lands to hear his wisdom. Solomon authored Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Songs. Yet his 700 wives and 300 concubines turned his heart toward foreign gods in his old age, leading to the division of the kingdom after his death.
