Son of Serug and grandfather of Abraham, part of the patriarchal line from Shem to the father of the Hebrew nation. Nahor lived 148 years in the region of Mesopotamia. His family would play an important role in Israel’s story—his granddaughter Rebekah became the wife of Isaac, connecting Nahor’s line back to the covenant family.
