Son of Ram and father of Nahshon, an ancestor of King David in the tribe of Judah. Amminadab lived during Israel’s time in Egypt and his daughter Elisheba married Aaron the high priest, connecting the royal and priestly lines of Israel. Through his son Nahshon, the messianic lineage continued toward Boaz, Jesse, and David.
