Significance

This fulfills the prophetic trajectory established in Isaiah 65-66, where God announces a new heaven and new earth, and completes the arc from Genesis 1 (creation) through Revelation 20 (judgment) to 21 (restoration). The cosmos itself participates in redemption, not mere escape from it.
