They mock Him, saying: prophesy to us, Christ! Tell us who hit You!
They think they are proving Jesus is a fraud. But at that very moment, the prophecy Jesus spoke about Peter's denial is coming true just outside.
The abusers taunt Jesus, challenging His prophetic claims through mockery.
They blindfold Him and ask Him to prophesy, not knowing that every prophecy He ever made is being fulfilled in real time around them.
The mocking command to 'prophesy' (propheteuson) while blindfolded (implied from Mark 14:65) turns Jesus' prophetic identity into a cruel game, demanding He identify His assailants.
The irony is multi-layered: Jesus is a true prophet, and His prophecy about Peter's denial is being fulfilled at this very moment in the courtyard below.
Those abusing Jesus taunt Him with a mocking challenge to prophesy.
While they mock His claim to prophecy, His prophecy about Peter is coming true just feet away — the blindfolded prophet sees more than all His sighted accusers.

69Meanwhile, Peter was sitting out in the courtyard, and a servant girl came up to him. “You also were with Jesus the Galilean,” she said.
70But he denied it before them all: “I do not know what you are talking about.”
