So many people came to hear Jesus that He had to use a boat as His stage. The lake became a natural auditorium for some of the most important stories ever told.
Such large crowds (ochloi polloi) gather that Jesus boards a boat (ploion) and sits down, while the crowd stands on the shore (aigialon), creating a natural amphitheater for His teaching.
