No one waited for an appointment or a formal invitation. They just grabbed their sick loved ones and ran. That's what faith in action looks like.

The region-wide response — people running (periedramon) through the whole area (holen ten choran) carrying the sick on mats (krabbatois) — demonstrates the extraordinary impact of Jesus' reputation and the desperation of the afflicted.
The krabattos ('pallet/mat') was a poor person's bed, indicating that many seeking Jesus were from the lower social strata. The communal mobilization reflects both faith and desperation.
