Rather than answering verbally, Jesus responds by performing healings in that very hour (en ekeinē tē hōra): curing diseases (nosōn), afflictions (mastigōn), evil spirits (pneumatōn ponērōn), and granting sight to the blind (typhlos).

Jesus provides evidence rather than assertion. His actions constitute a living demonstration that fulfills messianic prophecy, allowing John's disciples to witness the evidence firsthand.
