Signs Before the End

Jesus promises: 'I will give you words and wisdom that none of your enemies will be able to argue with or defeat.' When the time comes, He'll put the right words in your mouth.
You don't have to be a great speaker. You don't have to have all the answers prepared. Jesus promises to be your wisdom and your voice when it matters most.
Jesus makes a personal promise to provide exactly what His followers need in their hardest moments.
When you're standing in front of powerful people and don't know what to say, Jesus says: I'll handle that. The words that come out will be so wise that no one can argue. He's your defense attorney.
Jesus promises to give them 'a mouth and wisdom' (stoma kai sophian) that no adversary will be able to resist or contradict. The promise of divinely granted speech echoes God's promise to Moses (Exodus 4:12, 15).
The promise fulfills Joel 2:28-29 and is demonstrated repeatedly in Acts (Stephen in Acts 6:10, Paul in Acts 26). 'Mouth and wisdom' combines eloquence with substance — both the words and the insight to deploy them.
Jesus promises divine speech and wisdom to His persecuted followers.
The promise is breathtaking: Jesus Himself will give them words so powerful that no opponent can answer. This isn't rhetorical skill — it's divine wisdom channeled through human voices.
13This will be your opportunity to serve as witnesses.
14So make up your mind not to worry beforehand how to defend yourselves.
15For I will give you speech and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.
16You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and some of you will be put to death.
17And you will be hated by everyone because of My name.
