Water Into Wine

When the wine ran out, Jesus' mother came to Him and said, 'They don't have any more wine.'
Mary didn't tell Jesus what to do — she just brought the problem to Him and trusted Him to handle it. That's a beautiful model for prayer.
Mary brings the problem to Jesus with simple trust.
She didn't have a solution. She just knew who to go to. Sometimes the best prayer is the simplest: 'Jesus, we have a problem.' And then trust Him with it.
When the wine supply is exhausted, Jesus' mother informs Him of the crisis, saying simply, 'They have no more wine.'
Running out of wine at a wedding was a serious social disgrace in the honor-shame culture of first-century Palestine. Mary's statement implies an expectation that Jesus can address the situation.
Mary brings the wine shortage to Jesus' attention.
Mary functions as an intercessor, bringing a human need before Jesus. Her simple statement — without an explicit request — demonstrates faith that Jesus will act.
