The generations are becoming more compressed—Arphaxad had Shelah at 35, which is much earlier than some of the generations before the flood. You're seeing a gradual shift toward more normal human lifespans and fertility patterns as you move further from the flood.

The paternal age of thirty-five appears relatively modest compared to antediluvian figures (Adam fathered Seth at 130; Enoch fathered Methuselah at 65), but remains significant enough to suggest divine vigor.
