John sees a crystal-clear river of life flowing directly from God's throne, representing the pure source of eternal life that comes from God and Jesus together.
John is in his final vision, being shown the completed new creation. His suffering churches needed to know that God's restoration is real and total—not just spiritual, but physical and tangible.
