The phrase עֵדוֹתְךָ צִדְקָה (edot'cha tzidqah—Your testimonies are righteousness) makes a bold ontological claim: God's commandments are not merely commands that happen to be righteous, but righteousness itself made concrete and communicable. The second clause וְנֶאֱמָנָה מְאֹד (ve-neemana m'od—and altogether faithful/trustworthy) employs the root אמן (aman—to be firm, reliable, trustworthy), the very root of 'Amen.' This suggests that God's word possesses a kind of metaphysical stability—it will endure and accomplish its purpose. The absolute confidence ('altogether/exceedingly') underscores the absence of any hedging or qualification. This represents what Augustine called the 'indefectibility' of God's truth.
