Understanding God's teachings changes how you see everything—especially lies. Once you know what's true and good, everything false becomes repulsive to you.
He's moved from tasting sweetness to gaining actual understanding. And that understanding does something powerful: it reshapes his values. He doesn't hate falsehood because he's been told to; he hates it because he sees it clearly now.

This is the whole point of God's instruction—not just rule-following, but transformation from the inside out. When you genuinely understand God's ways, your loves and hates start aligning with His.
By meditating on God's precepts, the psalmist develops moral discernment that naturally produces aversion toward deception and falsehood.
