Why it's here

Paul isn't being arrogant. He's proven his commitment through suffering, and he's inviting believers to pattern their lives after someone who genuinely loves Jesus. He's also telling them to pay attention to their spiritual community—who are the people living this out? Model yourself after them, not after cultural voices or popular teachers who compromise the gospel.
