Jesus asked them, 'Which is easier to say: Your sins are forgiven, or Get up and walk?'
Anyone can claim to forgive sins since you can't see it happen. But healing? That's visible proof right there.

Jesus is about to prove His invisible authority by doing something everyone can see.
Jesus poses a rhetorical question: which is easier to say, 'your sins are forgiven' (unverifiable) or 'get up and walk' (immediately verifiable)?
The logic is penetrating: claiming to forgive sins is easy because it's invisible; claiming to heal is harder because the result is immediately testable.

This question sets up a visible miracle to validate an invisible reality, using the lesser to prove the greater.
3On seeing this, some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man is blaspheming!”
4But Jesus knew what they were thinking and said, “Why do you harbor evil in your hearts?
5Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’?
6But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...” Then He said to the paralytic, “Get up, pick up your mat, and go home.”
7And the man got up and went home.
