After everyone else was sent out, Jesus went in, took the girl's hand, and she got up, alive.
One touch. One moment. Death reversed. The laughter outside turned to stunned silence.

This is Jesus' clearest statement yet: He has power over death itself.
After clearing the room, Jesus takes the girl's hand (ekratesen tes cheiros), and she rises (egerthe), demonstrating His authority over death itself.
The intimate gesture of taking her hand echoes His touch healings throughout chapters 8-9 and prefigures resurrection language used of Jesus Himself.
