The whole town came out to meet Jesus, but instead of celebrating, they begged Him to leave their area.
They'd rather keep their pigs and their normal life than deal with the upheaval that Jesus' power brought.

This is one of the saddest moments in the Gospels: people chose their comfort over the most powerful healer who ever lived.
The entire town comes out and, upon seeing Jesus, begs (parekalesen) Him to leave their region, choosing economic loss avoidance over spiritual liberation.
The town's response prioritizes their livelihood (the destroyed pigs) over the miraculous deliverance of the demoniacs, revealing misplaced values.

This tragic rejection shows that Jesus' kingdom often disturbs comfortable arrangements, and some prefer comfort over transformation.
32“Go!” He told them. So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea and died in the waters.
