In the middle of dinner, Jesus drops a bombshell: one of you is going to betray Me.
Sharing a meal together was a sign of deep trust and friendship. To betray someone you have broken bread with was the ultimate violation of that bond.
Jesus speaks with heavy honesty to His disciples at the table.
Imagine the silence that must have fallen over that room. One of them — someone He has loved and taught for three years — will hand Him over to die.
