Jesus is looking at you and saying: this story is about you.
Jesus doesn't let the parable stay as a nice story. He makes it personal — forgive from the heart, because you've been forgiven everything.
Jesus applies the parable directly: the heavenly Father will treat likewise those who do not forgive 'from the heart' (apo tōn kardiōn hymōn), requiring sincere, not merely formal, forgiveness.
