After sending the crowds home, Jesus got in a boat and went to the region of Magadan. Another chapter of ministry closes as He moves on.
Jesus is always on the move, always heading to the next place where people need Him. His mission never pauses for long.
Matthew narrates the transition to a new location.
The feeding miracle is complete, and Jesus moves on. His ministry is a constant rhythm of pouring out and pressing forward.
After dismissing the crowds, Jesus travels to the region of Magadan (variant: Magdala). This may be identified with Magdala/Tarichaea on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee.
Magadan is mentioned only here in the New Testament. Some manuscripts read 'Magdala,' connecting it to Mary Magdalene's hometown. The geographical notice transitions to the next conflict narrative.

The second feeding miracle concludes with a quiet departure. Jesus moves on, but the lesson of divine abundance lingers.
