When she heard about Jesus, she pushed through the crowd and came up behind him to touch his cloak. She didn't ask for an appointment — she just reached out in faith.
She came from behind because she was ashamed. Her condition made her 'unclean,' and touching someone in the crowd was technically forbidden. But her faith outweighed her fear.
Mark describes the woman's bold, secret approach to Jesus.
After twelve years of disappointment, hearing about Jesus sparked something in her. She didn't need a formal request — she just needed to get close enough to touch his clothes.
The woman 'heard about Jesus' (akousasa ta peri tou Iesou) — faith comes by hearing — and approached from behind through the crowd to touch his garment (himation), likely his outer cloak or prayer shawl (tallith).
Her approach from behind reflects her ritual impurity and social shame; touching anyone would transmit uncleanness. Her act is simultaneously desperate, faith-filled, and socially transgressive.

28For she kept saying, “If only I touch His garments, I will be healed.”
29Immediately her bleeding stopped, and she sensed in her body that she was healed of her affliction.
