Watch and Wait

Then Jesus said something breathtaking: 'Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.'
Everything you can see — stars, mountains, oceans — will one day end. But what Jesus said will remain forever. That's the authority He claims.
Jesus makes a profound declaration about His own words.
Let that sink in. The universe has an expiration date. Jesus' words don't. When everything else fades, what He spoke will still stand.
Jesus claims cosmic-level authority for His words: though heaven and earth will pass away, His words (logoi) possess an eternal permanence that transcends the created order.
