Jesus says: the Father loves Me, and I love you in exactly the same way. Now remain in My love. Let it be the place where you live.
Think about that: the way God the Father loves Jesus is the same way Jesus loves you. That is the quality and depth of love being offered to you.
Jesus reveals the astonishing standard of His love for you.
The love between the Father and the Son is the most perfect, powerful force in the universe. And Jesus says: that is how I love you. Not a diluted version, not a lesser copy, but the same love. Stay in it. Make it your home.
Jesus draws a direct parallel: as the Father has loved the Son, so Jesus has loved the disciples. The command to 'remain in My love' (meinate en tē agapē tē emē) extends the abiding metaphor into the realm of love.
The Father-Son love relationship, which is eternal and perfect, becomes the model and source for Jesus' love toward believers. Abiding in love is abiding in Christ.

Jesus opens a window into the deepest reality in the universe: the Father's love for the Son. That same quality of love, eternal, unconditional, and total, is what Jesus extends to His followers. They are invited to remain in that love.
7If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
8This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, proving yourselves to be My disciples.
9As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Remain in My love.
10If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.
11I have told you these things so that My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.
