Mary falls at Jesus' feet (epesen pros tous podas autou) and repeats Martha's identical words, but her posture adds a dimension of emotional prostration that Martha's greeting lacked.

Language and setting

Mary's characteristic posture at Jesus' feet (cf. Luke 10:39, John 12:3) combined with the same words Martha spoke creates both symmetry and distinction: same faith, different expression. The prostration intensifies the emotional register.
