Jesus answers, 'I already told you, but you didn't believe. The miracles I do in my Father's name speak for themselves.'
Jesus has shown them who He is through everything He's said and done. The problem isn't a lack of evidence—it's a refusal to accept it.
Jesus responds to the leaders' demand by pointing to the evidence they've already seen and rejected.
Jesus doesn't dodge the question—He flips it. 'I've been telling you all along,' He says. 'The real question isn't whether I've said it. It's why you won't believe it.'
Jesus responds that He has already told them (both verbally and through signs), but they refuse to believe. He cites His works done 'in My Father's name' (en tō onomati tou patros mou) as self-authenticating testimony.
Jesus' response redirects the burden from declaration to reception: the problem is not insufficient revelation but obstinate unbelief. His works bear the Father's name, making them divine credentials.
