Have you ever actually seen where snow and hail come from, or where they're stored before God releases them?
God continues His relentless questioning, moving from the general ('you've been alive a long time') to the specific ('but have you seen snow storehouses?'). In the ancient world, people experienced weather but didn't understand meteorology—so this question would hit home as obviously true. Job would have to admit: no, I've never seen where snow originates or how it's managed.
God continues speaking to Job
God is establishing a theme that runs through the next several chapters: the physical world operates according to laws and systems that are far more complex and ordered than Job ever considered. This prepares Job for the realization that if God manages such intricate natural systems, He certainly understands Job's suffering—even if Job never gets a full explanation.
