God tells Noah to leave the ark with his entire family—himself, his wife, his three sons, and their wives. Everyone survives, everyone exits together.
The family structure matters here. Noah isn't just surviving; his entire household has been preserved. His wife, his three sons (Shem, Ham, and Japheth, from Genesis 7:13), and their wives are all alive and intact. God's covenant with Noah included preserving his family line. This is the new humanity.

God speaking to Noah establishes a pattern of covenant that you'll see throughout Scripture. God makes promises, keeps them, and then speaks new promises. Noah becomes a second Adam—the beginning of a restarted human race. Through his descendants, all nations will come.

18So Noah came out, along with his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives.
