After Jared's birth, Mahalalel lived 830 more years with other children—the multiplication continued even as physical capacities seemed to be gradually declining.
Even as fertility ages dropped, lifespans remained extraordinary. A man fathering a child at 65 and then living another 830 years is almost unimaginable—yet that's the world before the flood.

Mahalalel's total lifespan (895 years) continues the declining pattern; his post-paternal years (830) remain substantial but are noticeably shorter than Kenan's (840).
