The phrase κατὰ τὸ μέτρον τῆς δορεᾶς τοῦ Χριστοῦ suggests that Christ, the ascended Lord, is the source of differentiated spiritual gifts. This addresses potential concerns: if all are one, are all identical? No—Paul establishes that diversity is not accidental but intentional distribution of Christ's resources.
